It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you today that we will not be able to hold our festival around the recorder and its music in May 2020. I am sorry to inform you that none of the planned events can take place.

We will try to postpone the whole festival programme by one year, and I would also like to stick to the great performers and programmes. So: the new dates are 13-16 May 2021 at www.blockfloetenfesttage.de !

EUROWINDS | Alle drei sind Koryphäen ihres Fachs, fest im internationalen Musikleben verankert und sind gemeinsam mit fulminantem Erfolg u.a. im Konzerthaus Wien bei den Resonanzen aufgetreten. Das Projekt Eurovisionen führt Dorothee Oberlinger (D), Michael Oman (A) und Maurice Steger (CH) als Ensemble Eurowinds wieder auf dem Podium zusammen, in welchem die Künstler eine barocke Parade mit Musik aus England, Frankreich, Deutschland, Österreich und Italien präsentieren. 2020 wird in der Altrheinhalle mit dem Auftritt des All-Star-Trios Eurowinds ein neues Kapitel in der Geschichte flötistischen Musikantentums, sprühender Virtuosität und einfühlsamer Flauto dolce-Kultur aufgeschlagen! Die drei Blockflötisten treten mit einem ebenso internationalen Continuoteam auf und stellen Musik aus den Eurovisionsländern vor. Schönste Literatur für 3 Blockflöten, aber auch solistische Intermezzi für alle sechs plus Ensemblewerke vereinen sich hier zu einem farbigen Bouquet an barocker Expressivität. All three musicians are luminaries in their respective professions, firmly established in international musical life, and have performed together with great success at the Resonanzen Festival at the Wiener Konzerthaus, among other events. The project Eurovisions will once more see Dorothee Oberlinger (D), Michael Oman (A) and Maurice Steger (CH) perform together as the Ensemble Eurowinds, presenting a baroque parade with music from England, France, Germany, Austria and Italy. Unfortunately, Switzerland once again failed to make it to the finals. With the performance of the all-star trio EuroWinds in the Altrheinhalle, the year 2020 will mark the dawn of a new era in recorder playing – sparkling virtuosity meets the delicate tones of the flauto dolce. The three recorder players will be performing with an equally international basso continuo group and will present music from the Eurovision countries. Some of the most beautiful melodies for three recorders, solo intermezzi for all six musicians and ensemble works come together to create a colourful explosion of baroque musical expression. Don’t miss out on the final event of the 2020 Stockstadt Recorder Festival – it’s going to be exciting!
