We are pleased to inform you that Silvia Berchtold won 1st prize at the MOECK / SRP International Recorder Solo Competition 2017. Brava!
The Bavarian Silvia Berchtold is a long-standing student of the Gstaad Baroque Academy in the class of Prof. Maurice Steger and lives in Zurich. We wish the winner all the best and look forward to seeing her soon at the concert podium.
The competition takes place every two years and is regarded worldwide as the most important prize for recorder soloists. Already in 2015, we very pleased to be able to congratulate the first prize winner Laura Schmid, also a long-time student of Prof. Maurice Steger at the Gstaad Baroque Academy. The victory helped the young recorder player to many concerts throughout Europe.
